Karianne graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts(LIPA) in 2012, with a BA (hons) Dance (Performing Arts). During her time of studies she was fortunate to work with extremely talented people including international top choreographers and dance industry experts.
After graduating, Karianne traveled to LA and NYC to train. She ended up staying in NYC for 8 months where she studied at Broadway Dance Center’s ISVP program – achieving a Certificate of Excellence. At the same time she also achieved a 200 hour Yoga certification from Three Sisters Yoga.
Karianne has worked for 2Entertain Corporate Entertainment – one of Scandinavia’s leading entertainment companies. In 2014 she joined them as a singer/dancer for their Blue Village hotels in Cyprus. Later she went on to do shorter contracts as an activity leader & entertainer onboard Color Line cruises, Oslo-Kiel. From January – April 2017 Karianne appeared in 2Entertain’s shows onboard Silja Symphony, as a singer/dancer.
Other recent work includes performing as a singing waitress at Archer Street Cocktail Bar in Soho, and as a solo cabaret vocalist on mini cruise contracts with Brittany Ferries and P&O. Summer 2017, she played the role of Sleeping Beauty in “Sleeping Beauty” onboard MV Bretagne, and most recently Karianne did a contract as a lead vocalist onboard the beautiful Viking Sun, with Viking Ocean Cruises. She will be returning to Viking Cruises later this year for what she considers to be her “dream job”!!!
Karianne has a large repertoire of songs in all genres, and can perform with professional backing tracks or as an acoustic duo with a guitarist. She has experience singing in live bands as well as in show teams. Versitality is Karianne’s strength, and she can pretty much do any job you book her to do. Just give her some rehearsal time, and she’ll do the job!
Karianne is involved with Move the World, a non profit organisation that uses dance as a tool for creating social change. In May to June 2015 she travelled to Ghana with them to do work in collaboration with the Medie community, a community close to Accra. She believes that art is a great tool for creating positive change in the world.
